Nolen, a proud native of the Sunshine State, has always been captivated by the allure of Florida. However, his wanderlust knows no bounds. In July 2019, alongside his wife Ashley, they celebrated the achievement of setting foot in all 50 U.S. states. With that milestone behind them, they’re now charting a new course: to hike and kayak through each of the 62 U.S. National Parks.
From his early days assisting his grandfather on a cattle ranch in southwest Florida, Nolen has been instilled with the values of diligence and perseverance. Those formative years shaped a work ethic that he passionately channels into serving his clients today. Recognizing that each individual’s financial landscape is unique, Nolen is deeply committed to helping clients achieve their financial aspirations. Wit a collaborative and grounded approach, he strives to ensure that clients not only feel at ease with their financial journey but also remain confidently on course.
Nolen is a graduate of both Leadership Lakeland Class XXX and Leadership Polk Class X. In 2014, EMERGE Lakeland recognized his potential and leadership, bestowing upon him the title of ‘Future Mayor of Lakeland.’ Beyond formal accolades, he’s actively involved in the community, holding positions on various local boards and executive committees.
Together with his wife, they ardently support numerous local non-profits and organizations, exemplifying their deep commitment to their community.
In 2007, Nolen graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management and minoring in Economics. Subsequently, he severed his Series 65 license, qualifying him as a Registered Investment Advisor Representative. Additionally, the Florida Department of Financial Services has licensed him in Life, Health, and Disability Insurance.
Nolen joined CPS Investment Advisors in 2011 and was named a Partner in 2020. As the Director of the firm’s Retirement Plan Services division, Nolen obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designate in 2017. Nolen also holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) designation through the College for Financial Planning, as well as the Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant (ARPC) designation through the Society of Professional Asset Managers and Record Keepers (SPARK).
