CPS Mentors Men of Tomorrow

What a great group of young men who visited us this week.

Every year, CPS employees spend time mentoring local students in the Men of Tomorrow program. The Mu Zeta Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity coordinates it, which has positively impacted more than 500 young men and their families over the years.

The program takes them through a yearly learning course and includes a graduation and scholarship program. Many of the youth do not have a male role model at home, so the fraternity has stepped in to help inspire these teenagers. The young men we met attend various schools in the area.

CPS Principal, Jim Luffman and Portfolio Analysts Derek Oxford and KC Wilson,  talked with this year’s group about making good financial decisions and the importance of getting an education.

We’re so glad they spent some time with us on their day off from school.
