Maleia was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada where she attended West Career and Technical Academy, a magnet high school focusing on IT and Business Management. She fell in love with Lakeland at a young age because she spent around a month every summer with her grandparents exploring central Florida. She graduated from Florida Southern College in May of 2022, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance along with Business Administration.
Maleia enjoys being pumped full of adrenaline in her free time; cliff jumping and skydiving are some of her favorite activities. Her other hobbies include hosting dinners, shopping, and attending concerts. Fun fact: Maleia never had a shortage of things to do in the entertainment capital of the world, she has attended over 100 concerts and music festivals. She also has a passion for traveling. Her favorite trips include, Positano, Italy; Maui, Hawaii; and Barcelona, Spain. Maleia also enjoys sailing around the Caribbean on a catamaran. Lately, she has taken up golfing as a hobby and is a member of Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas, and Grasslands Country Club in Lakeland.
Maleia became part of the CPS team August 2021, originally starting off as an administration intern, but quickly transitioning onto the trading floor after just two days. Now as a full-time portfolio analyst, some of her day-to-day tasks include analysis, trading, research, and reconciliation of account portfolios. She is currently studying for her Series 65 license; another career goal is to acquire her CFP or CFA.
