Graduating from the University of Missouri with a BSBA degree with a major in accounting and an MA in Accountancy, Jeff joined the Kansas City, Missouri office of a major international accounting firm as a member of the auditing staff. I was with the firm for several years and left as a Partner in the tax department. Shortly afterward, I joined a Fortune 500 publishing company in Orlando, Florida as the Vice President of Taxes, leaving that organization when another company in Boston, Massachusetts acquired it.
Reentering the CPA business, I joined the Orlando office of another international accounting firm, practicing as a partner in the Orlando and Memphis offices, the latter after being asked to transfer to add to that office’s tax capabilities. From Memphis, I was recruited to join a significant and sizeable regional CPA firm in Edison, New Jersey as the Officer-in-charge of that office’s tax department. After several years, I retired from that firm relocating to Lakeland, Florida, to again enjoy the Florida weather, sunshine, and far more relaxed lifestyle. However, after a few years of retirement, I reentered the CPA tax practice arena.
During my time as a CPA, I’ve been licensed to practice in the states of Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, New Jersey, and currently, of course, Florida. I’m a member of the AICPA and FICPA, a former member of the Tax Executives Institute, a former member of the Board and Co-Chairman of the Heart of America Tax Institute, and a former member of the Board and Co-Chairman of the Kansas City Estate Planning Society. I’ve also served as a member of the Board and officer for various civic and charitable organizations, e.g., The Children’s Center for Visual Impairment (Kansas City) and more recently, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association.
Mrs. Green and I have three great children and two grandsons on both coasts, our daughter and grandsons in New York City and our two sons in San Francisco and Orange Co., California.
