Mia Paulec

Associate Planner

Growing up in an entrepreneurial household, with her perfectionist father working in the remodeling and renovation sector, Mia’s upbringing was significantly shaped by long hours on job sites working in the family business. Through those years, Mia learned firsthand the meaning of resiliency and the value of a dollar.

Moving to Lakeland to attend college at Southeastern University, following after her older brother, Mia had a strong desire to be challenged. The homeschool education of Mia’s youth had immersed her in the liberal arts and cultivated a profound appreciation for the study of ideas, perspectives, and the human experience. However, with the transition to college and the desire to try her hand at something entirely new, she opted for a more analytical education. Eventually, with the encouragement of her father and an influential faculty member, Mia chose to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Learning to solve the puzzles involved in her finance and accounting coursework provided Mia with a newfound passion for precision and accuracy. Interning with CPS during the last semester of her senior year, Mia gained experience as to what the financial planning process entailed. The industry insight acquired during this time served as fuel to Mia’s personal finance flame. She went on to receive Southeastern University’s ‘Most Outstanding in Major’ award within her graduating class’s finance cohort and joined the firm full-time following commencement.

Working at Hillcrest Coffee throughout college, Mia’s love of live music and community was deepened. She maintains steady involvement at the coffee shop attending and assisting with various music events hosted there. When she is not working, Mia enjoys trying new recipes, running long distance, learning to play guitar, attending live music or theatre performances, and reading books and reading books concerned with three topics: theology, personal finance and investing, and music history—in that order.

In the summer of 2026, Mia completed the Summer Leadership Program with the Lakeland Economic Development Council. She is currently preparing for the Series 65 exam to further her development as a finance professional. She looks forward to a fruitful career serving clients with the integrity and care instilled during her upbringing and the accuracy and precision cultivated during her collegiate years.
