Nancy grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and knew early on she wanted to be an accountant. While still in high school, she completed her parent’s tax returns and managed her father’s bank account. Since college was not an option, she found employment as an accounts receivable clerk in Pittsburgh. Two years later she married Bert and they moved to Lakeland, Florida where his family had started a small business.
Nancy immediately found employment as a bookkeeper and continued working after their son, Michael, was born. She also has served as church secretary and held various positions with Lakeland Youth Soccer and Florida Youth Soccer Association including coaching recreational and competitive youth soccer.
While working full-time and coaching soccer, Nancy returned to her pursuit of an accounting degree. She is most thankful for, and fortunate to have the continuous support and encouragement from her husband while obtaining a master’s degree in accounting from USF and passing the CPA exam.
She holds a National Youth Soccer License and enjoys camping, hiking, crocheting, sewing and spending time with family including Hana, their fifth boxer.
Nancy joined Baylis & Co PA, CPAs in 2006 as a staff accountant and became part of CPS Group CPAs with the merger of the two companies.
