Tracy is a daughter, sister, aunt, 5th generation Floridian, and multiple-type cancer survivor. Even though she moved around due to life in the Navy, Tracy’s family believed in growing deep roots in the cities of Sarasota, Lakeland, and Bartow.
Tracy graduated 6th in her class from Lake Gibson High School, holding close to her the value of education. Following high school, she graduated from Hillsborough Community College with an AA in Business, the University of South Florida with a BS in Management, and Florida Southern College with a BS in Accounting.
Surrounded by her father, a CPA for the IRS, and her mother, a stay-at-home parent who maintained the family’s finances, Tracy was exposed to both sides of accounting: compliance and bookkeeping. At a young age, Tracy decided she wanted to serve in public accounting, assisting many entities. With over 30 years of public accounting experience, Tracy is an engagement partner that oversees the audit department and its related tax obligations.
Tracy learned that giving back to the community is a passion of hers. As soon as she could, she sought out organizations, serving in many capacities as a board director, treasurer, and president. Currently, Tracy is involved with the following: Rotary International (local, district, and foundation), Polk Education Foundation, Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce, and participates in the “Serves” program mentoring young professionals from Lakeland, Bartow, and Winter Haven. These endeavors allow her to be an effective leader and grow professionally.
Outside of work (if Tracy isn’t spending time with her fur baby, Miss Mimi, her family, & friends), you will find her watching and reading “Who Done It” mysteries and traveling the world on cruise ships.
